Produced for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER), London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) and the Associated Humber Lines to promote travel to continental ports from Goole, Hull and Grimsby. The cushion shows a map which indicates the routes and continental destinations. Artwork by Montague Birrell Black, who was educated at Stockwell College, London and concentrated on military and naval artwork. He designed posters for LNER, LMS and Southern Railway (SR).
