Egyptian 8 - Owen Jones Tea Towel
Owen Jones (15 February 1809 ÛÒ 19 April 1874) was an English-born Welsh architect. A versatile architect and designer, he was also one of the most influential design theorists of the nineteenth century. He helped pioneer modern colour theory, and his theories on flat patterning and ornament still resonate with contemporary designers today.
Our SS21 collection of Tea towels and Deckchairs is based on the Egyptian patterns from Jones' The Grammar of Ornament Book (1868), the global and historical design sourcebook for which he is best known today.
All of our tea towels are printed in full colour on cotton and are lovingly hand sewn by us in London.
Washable at 40 degrees max, each tea towel is approx.50cm by 75 cm
